Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. announced its partnership as an authorized dealer of Weiler Forestry products. Known for its high-quality paving equipment, Weiler acquired the purpose-built forestry product line from Caterpillar.
Weiler is a strong leader in the paving industry and with its focus on customer-driven product innovation, reliability and value, Cleveland Brothers is confident that Weiler Forestry will produce a comprehensive portfolio of forestry equipment to support its thriving customer base, the company said.
"Over the past several months, we have been listening to forestry customers and dealer personnel. We are excited to implement product expansion plans quickly to better serve the forestry market," said Pat Weiler, owner and founder of Weiler Inc.
The acquisition from Caterpillar to Weiler consists of wheel skidders, track feller bunchers, wheel feller bunchers and knuckleboom loaders — exclusively available at Cat dealers, such as Cleveland Brothers — along with manufacturing facilities in LaGrange, Ga., Auburn, Ala., and Smithfield, N.C. Caterpillar will continue to provide forestry excavators designed for the log loading, processing and other forestry applications, in addition to supplying core Cat equipment to the forestry industry.
Founded in 2000, Weiler currently produces an extensive portfolio of products and has a well-established history of successfully manufacturing purpose-built equipment distributed through the Cat dealer network.
"I am looking forward to continuing to listen to our customers so we can offer them the products that best serve their needs through the best dealer network in the world," said Bill Hood, VP of Weiler Inc.
