DEVELON
The DX340LL-7 log loader is designed to meet the demands of forestry applications. This new model fills a strategic size-class gap (40–45 metric tons), offering the power and reach of a larger machine without the associated transport challenges and costs.
DEVELON adds the DX340LL-7 to its existing forestry lineup, complementing both smaller and larger existing models. The DX340LL-7 provides forestry professionals with the reach, lift capacity and stability of a larger log loader while avoiding the high transport costs and logistical hurdles of moving to the next size class.
"Demand in the DX340LL-7 size class has remained relatively stable in recent years, particularly for operators in the Pacific Northwest who require heavy-duty performance on rugged terrain," says Brian Kim, product manager of DEVELON.
Performance, Efficiency
The DEVELON DX340LL-7 log loader is designed for timber-harvesting and log handling environments. Key performance features include the following:
• DPF-free engine: The DEVELON diesel engine meets Tier IV emission standards without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF), reducing maintenance costs and increasing uptime.
• Superior torque and traction: The new model delivers high swing torque and tractive force, which are essential for uphill logging work and heavy-load maneuvering.
• Hydraulic power boost: Operators can engage a one-touch power boost on the right-hand joystick for an instant hydraulic surge when handling maximum loads.
"I look forward to the opportunity to demo the new machine and see how it performs," said Shane Hiett of Hiett Logging in Burlington, Wash. "It's great to see DEVELON add a new model to its forestry product lineup. The DX340LL-7 log loader will help diversify the brand and widen the uses and applications for the woods in the Pacific Northwest."
Enhanced Visibility, Safety
Workplace safety and operator confidence are at the forefront of the DX340LL-7 log loader. The new machine comes equipped with the following features:
• Cab riser: The standard 4-ft. cab riser and narrow cab pillars provide a views of the worksite. An optional rear-entry cab door will be available from the factory.
• Forestry-certified cab: Side- and rear-entry forestry cabs are available, certified to Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards.
• Advanced camera system: Side and rearview cameras are standard.
• Standard safety features: A travel alarm, LED work lights and a standard straight travel pedal for easier maneuvering are included.
To help reduce operator fatigue during long shifts, the DX340LL-7 log loader features a premium workstation, including a heated and cooled air-suspension seat that can be easily adjusted to match operator preferences. An 8-in. LCD multifunction monitor allows operators to view machine diagnostics and camera feeds simultaneously.
In addition, the DX340LL-7 comes standard with the MY DEVELON fleet management system. This telematics system enables owners to remotely monitor machine health, location and productivity via a mobile app or website.
Support
The DX340LL-7 log loader is backed by a standard warranty of 36 months or 3,000 hours. For customers requiring even more specialized protection, DEVELON offers Protection Plus extended warranty options that can cover machines for up to 60 months or 7,500 hours.
To ensure maximum uptime protection for customers in remote logging locations, DEVELON leverages a strategic parts infrastructure with a dedicated parts distribution center in Lacey, Wash., near Tacoma.
The DEVELON Log Loader Lineup
The DX340LL-7 joins a comprehensive lineup of machines designed to handle any forestry application. The lineup begins with the agile DX225LL-7 (30-ton class), suitable for smaller to mid-sized operations. The larger DX300LL-7 (35-ton class) offers increased lift capacity and faster cycle times. For the most demanding heavy-lift applications, the DX380LL-5 log loader remains the fleet's powerhouse in the 53-ton category, ensuring that logging professionals have a reliable solution for every operational scale.
The DEVELON brand (and Doosan before it) has been a presence in the North American market for 35 years, having first entered the region in 1991. For logging professionals specifically, the brand's history in the Pacific Northwest spans more than two decades.
In 2005, the brand solidified its presence in the Pacific Northwest when Cascade Trader — a prominent forestry equipment dealer headquartered in Chehalis, Wash. — became an authorized DEVELON dealer.
